Danny Liu is a senior leading the Biology Club in 2023-2024 as its club President. He qualified for the 2023 USABO Semifinalist Exam and received the British Biology Olympiad Gold in 2022 and 2023. His favorite topic in biology is metabolic pathways. Outside of biology, Danny enjoys playing golf recreationally, drinking coffee, and eating good eats. He hopes to create a more vibrant atmosphere in the club and is more than willing to answer any questions you may have about him or the club.

Sneha Ganesh is the Biology Club’s Vice President for the 2023-2024 school year. She is a junior who received a USABO Honorable Mention and a Bronze Medal in the British Biology Olympiad in 2023. She loves studying microbiology and human anatomy, and aspires to work in healthcare in the future. Her favorite unit in AP Biology was Unit 6: Gene Expression and Regulation, and she can’t wait to teach it to the Biology Club members. In her free time, she enjoys writing short stories, reading, and playing golf.

Srishreya is a junior and the secretary of Biology Club this school year. Her favorite topic in biology is Unit 8: Ecology. Her biological interests lie in microbiology and it’s intersection in healthcare. During her free time, Shreya enjoys cooking vegan pasta and spending time with her friends and family. She loves participating in science fairs and sharing her passion for biology with others. Shreya is happy to serve a role in the club and can’t wait to meet its members!

Shreeyansh Pandey is a junior and the treasurer of the Bio Club during the ‘23-‘24 school year. He was a British Biology Olympiad Gold awardee in ‘23. His favorite biology topics are palynology (spores, pollen, and other stuff), and ethology (the evolution of animal behavior). Outside of bio, he likes to spend time with his cat, play nintendo, and drink milk with rooh afza or chocolate syrup. This year, he hopes to transform lectures into something interactive.

Anthony Wei is a junior and the content developer for DVHS Biology Club in the 2023-2024 school year. He was a 2023 USABO Semifinalist with Merit, as well as a 2023 British Biology Olympiad gold medalist. He is quite familiar with Campbell Biology and can recall the location of niche biological information with uncanny accuracy, but somehow fails to recall any information without the aid of the 1400 page brick. Outside of biology, Anthony enjoys thinking philosophical thoughts and is chronically online. Like Danny, he enjoys coffee (perhaps a bit too much). This year, he hopes to spread biology knowledge through fun activities and educational club meetings, and will always be open to discuss anything biological. Anthony’s favorite biology topic is molecular biology.

Hebe Wang is a junior at DVHS. She is the Communications Manager for the DVHS Biology Club in the 2023 - 2024 school year. She enjoys learning and discussing biology topics and has yet to come up with her favorite biology topic. Last school year, she was a USABO Semifinalist and BBO Bronze Medalist. This school year, she hopes for another successful year for the Biology Club and hopes that the club will achieve all of its goals.

Shelby Yeh is a senior and DVHS Biology Club's Webmaster for the 2023-2024 school year. She received the British Biology Olympiad Silver medal in 2022 and an Honorable Mention for the USABO in 2023. Above all, her favorite topic in biology is genetics, and she hopes to pursue the topic through studying molecular biology. However, she foresees being the only student in molecular biology who doesn't necessarily want to pursue pre-med. Whenever she can, Shelby loves to travel, drink hojicha, and consume problematic, but beloved, media to argue about later. She's very proud that she created this work of art that you're currently scrolling through, and this year, Shelby wants to make club resources even more accessible and organized through the website.
