If you are passionate about Biology and would love to compete nationally and internationally in a Biology competition, sign up for the USA Biology Olympiad (USABO) Open Exam! Join us for USABO Exam prep sessions at our weekly meetings during lunch every Thursday in Room 2109.

All interested students in Grades 9 to 12 are eligible to participate in the USABO. Wondering how to participate?
Complete the Google Form to be a registered member of the DVHS Biology Club
Pay the Biology Club Membership fee of $10 on the DVHS Webstore
Select "School" at the top left → DVHS → Clubs → Biology

exam specifics
The exam will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 50 minutes. The questions will have one correct response, and there is no penalty for guessing. For more information, visit these links.

British Biology Olympiad
eligibility
All interested students in grades 9 to 12 are eligible to participate in the BBO. To do so, complete the same steps listed under eligibility for the USABO. The club membership fee covers both the USABO and BBO.
OPEN EXAM DATE: February 7 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM in Room 2109
exam specifics
The British Biology Olympiad (BBO) contains two 45-minute papers. The first contains many questions about all aspects of biology. The second contains longer problems. You will be presented with unfamiliar ideas and topics, and will have to use problem-solving skills and intuition. A fully-charged computer, scrap paper, pen or pencil, and a basic calculator are required. For more information, visit these links.
